JANUARY 2016: WIND FARM IS ENERGISED

On 10th Jaunary 2016, area network operator UKPN completed the works to connect the thriteen turbines at Wryde Croft Wind Farm to the national grid.

Now that the wind farm is fully connected , final testing and commissioning to ensure that the turbines are generating properly can take place.

Wryde Croft Wind Farm is currently predicted to become operational in February, triggering community benefits of £130,000 per year for the local community.
